Uneasy Home-coming

Uneasy Home-coming was a mystery story with one main character named Connie. Connie had just returned home from a vacation and she new something was wrong or different about her home. She was terribly afraid because it was late and her husband wasn't going to be home for a while but she decided to try and calm herself down instead of bothering someone else. After a while she got really scared and ended up calling a friend of hers anyways, Mrs. Winston. Mrs. Winston insisted on sending her son over to pick Connie up but Connie politely said no because she thought he was a creep. Mrs. Winston then began to tell Connie about all the robberies that had been going on since she had left. That made Connie very uneasy and not so calm anymore. Connie hung up the phone and began searching her house; she went into her bedroom and found all the loot that the robbers had stolen from all the other places! She knew they had been in her home now and were probably on there way back. Everything had seemed to be going wrong when suddenly she heard the man enter the house. He walked past her in the kitchen and Connie seen his face. It was a very familiar face to her and she couldn't believe her eyes! Connie waited until he was far enough away to sneak out the back door and luckily he had left it open. She ran down the lawn to the motorcycle and lit it on fire so that people would come and help and she wouldn't get hurt by this man she had recognized. He had come out to the fire and was pretending to be the first one to the fire and was trying to put it out but he wasn't fooling Connie. Connie knew she was safe now but she was very upset and scared for Mrs. Winston because she knew Mrs. Winston was the mother of this robber and she didn't even know it!
